Itadaki street is a multi-player boardgame-series originally created by Dragon Quest designer Yuji Horii and published by Enix.
Itadaki Street Special for Playstation 2 is the 5th game in the series but the first to feature characters from
Final Fantasy and
Dragon Quest. However the PS2 version only features
Vaan and
Ashe from Final Fantasy XII.
Balthier appears in the
Playstation Portable version,
Itadaki Street Portable, along with
Fran and the rest of the main party.
The game is very similar to good old Monopoly. You role the die and move across the board, buying property and earning money when other players step on your areas. There are more ways to earn money like buying stocks in land and playing mini-games that some blocks trigger. There is a maximum of
4 players per round.
There are many boards from all the different Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games.
Bhujerba is featured as a unlockable board.
All the characters have been superdeformed into chibi figures. Balthier's cloths look fairly the same as in Final Fantasy XII. Only a few details, like the patterns on his cuffs, are missing. His confident smile hasn't changed a bit and he is still equiped with his trusty gun,
Altair.
